đ (Thanks, RYOBI) But even with a few good neighbors (Thanks Josie, Tom and George!) recruited and happily sanding along- it was slow goingâŠÄȘnd then, something spectacular happened. We actually used ALL of them- and one blew up on me. ⊠and they will start to stack up fast! But first you have to sand all the corners and edges so everyone remains intact and unharmed when they inevitably topple over- cuz thatâs the game! So get to sanding⊠STEP 1: Cut each 8âČ board into 9 pieces (10 1/2 â each). You could use the skill saw with a speed square as a guide to make nice straight cuts too. In hind sight I would probably opt for the chop saw and just measure the boards ahead of time or create a template board to keep them all the same. CON: Itâs hard to keep super straight and level with that much length so every once and a while it would kick back or grab. We used a table saw and pre-set the 10 1/2 inches so we could just keep feeding in the 2 x 4 and cutting. wood conditioner (optional- recommended).
DIY GIANT JENGA GAME AND STORAGE HOW TO
Iâm sure they will wear off over time though or you could use goo-gone (because that sh!* is magical)! How to make a GIANT Jenga! Once they get roughed up they are hard to peel off. The sanding was the real time thief- but as we figured out- if you have another neighbor (Thanks Chris!) with a belt sander you can cut your time down significantly!ÄȘlso taking the stickers off the ends of the boards before you sand is a good idea. A friend of mine, Wes -and neighbor- wanted to do it so we made it a team effort and knocked it out in about 2 hours. This post about how to make a giant Jenga is going to be super simple.
